2014 Open House

Guest Speaker, Scudder D Mackey, Ph.D, Chief, Office of Coastal Management at Ohio Department of Natural Resources spoke to an engaged group of Severn Sound area citizens that included; Mayors, Councillors, municipal staff, Shoreline Association groups,boating and marine associations, Coastal Attendees of the 2014 SSEA Open House viewing the diplay informationConservation and business owners about managing the Georgian Bay shoreline, addressing environmental impacts and changes in the Great Lakes Water Levels.

Severn Sound Environmental Association, Dufferin Simcoe Stewardship, and several North Simcoe municipalities are working together to implement the 2014 Tree Seedling Distribution Program.

The Severn Sound Sustainability Plan is a vision for the Severn Sound watershed in the year 2050. It includes Goals, Strategic Directions and Actions that will, when implemented, ensure the sustainability of the watershed for generations to come. The Severn Sound Sustainability Plan was finalized and endorsed by all 9 partner municipalities in the Spring of 2009. More Information...
